Landlocked in the Southern Alps, the small Balkan country of Slovenia is not only taking on a greater role in its regional defense, but is becoming a larger presence in NATO missions outside its region. That commitment to the alliance is currently on display in Hohenfels, Germany, during exercise Combined Resolve 2013 as the Slovenian Army is fielding one of the battalions leading the training effort.
