At 6:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day, dozens of local and out-of-state tree-clearing crews begin to trickle in with their bucket trucks and wood chippers to a parking lot near Alley Pond Park. The work is part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' overall emergency debris removal mission.
