Twenty four of the Army's Soldiers began the second day of 2012 Best Warrior Competition with a written examination, followed by a day land navigation event, uniform preparation and night urban orienteering. The day navigation event was arguably the highlight of the day. Soldiers were required to use a compass, map and protractor in locating five points within a three-hour period. The traditional land navigation event has not been included in Best Warrior since 2008.
