The Department of the Army has designated August as Antiterrorism Awareness Month, which provides Army-sponsored programs that are designed to enhance awareness to prevent and protect service members, families, and civilians from acts of terrorism. This is done by embedding anti-terrorism concepts through training, education, and key leadership emphasis.
