LIMA, Peru (Oct. 26, 2011) -- The Conference of American Armies, comprised of armies from Caribbean, Central, North and South American countries, kicked off Monday in Lima, Peru. "This conference offers an opportunity for commanders to get to know each other and to exchange experiences," said Gen. Victor Manual Ripalda Ganoza, the Army Commander of the Peruvian army and President of the Permanent Executive Secretariat of the Conference of American Armies.
