World War Two hero's ashes scattered at RAF Linton
by Ministry of Defence

Seventy years to the day that an RAF pilot took off from RAF Linton-on-Ouse to attack a German battleship, his ashes were scattered on the very spot his Halifax bomber left from in 1941.
