Capping its 23rd Annual National Education and Leadership Awards Gala May 25, 2011, the Sons of Italy Foundation paid tribute to Medal of Honor recipient Staff Sgt. Salvatore Giunta when Gen. Raymond T. Odierno threw a salute and presented him with a $10,000 SIF scholarship.
