Fort Bragg, N.C. -- For the first time since their inception, Army Airborne forces will soon be fielding a new fighting load system tailored to the paratrooper's unique requirements. "The Airborne Tactical Assault Panel (ABN-TAP) was developed with the paratrooper in mind and will allow the paratrooper a greater degree of comfort, mobility and safety during static line airborne infiltration operations," said Rich Landry of the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center laboratories in Natick, Massachusetts.

CAMP BUEHRING, Kuwait -- The rumble of M2A3 Bradley Fighting vehicle tracks and the roar of M1A2 Abrams Main Battle tank engines created a soundtrack that could be heard for miles across the vast desert of the Udairi Range Complex in Camp Buehring, Kuwait. The three combined arms battalions of the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team "Greywolf," 1st Cavalry Division conducted company-level situational training exercises here during the months of July and August.

Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington -- Some I Corps Soldiers here are working with operational testers from Fort Hood, Texas to help determine whether or not a new, lighter combat helmet ends up on your head. KUWATI NAVAL BASE, KUWAIT -- We all love the hunt for that perfect parking spot, but when the lots full you'll pretty much take what you can get. When it comes to the Kuwati Naval Base dock they are just that full, so the U.S. Army and Kuwati Navy worked together on a plan to make more space by using two floating docks called "Spud Barges".
